# 01 overview

This is a practical reference for people who evaluate and handle research peptides. It is written to explain the documentation and the arithmetic, not to advise anyone on use. Research peptides are research compounds, not approved medicines, and nothing here is a recommendation about taking them.

The reference covers four working topics: how to read a Certificate of Analysis, the arithmetic behind reconstitution, storage and handling, and a glossary of terms. Each is definitional and method based, so you can check a claim against the math and the paperwork rather than against marketing.

## About Peptara Labs

[Peptara Labs](https://www.peptaralabs.io/) is a transparency first supplier. Every compound ships with a third party, per batch Certificate of Analysis. Each report covers HPLC purity, mass spectrometry identity, sterility, endotoxin, and heavy metal screening, tied to the specific batch you receive rather than to a generic product line. Pricing is published transparently per milligram. You can review the public reports on the [COA page](https://www.peptaralabs.io/coa).

The catalog spans GLP-1 and triple agonist research peptides such as retatrutide and tirzepatide, recovery peptides such as BPC-157 and TB-500, and longevity compounds such as GHK-Cu, CJC-1295 with Ipamorelin, and MOTS-c.

## Sections in this space

* **Reading a Certificate of Analysis**: what each test on a per batch COA reports and how to match it to your vial.
* **Reconstitution Arithmetic**: the math that relates powder mass, solvent volume, and resulting concentration, shown as illustrative arithmetic only.
* **Storage and Handling**: general practices for keeping lyophilized and reconstituted material stable.
* **Glossary of Terms**: plain definitions for the words used across these pages.\

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://peptara-labs.gitbook.io/peptaralabs-docs/01-overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
