## What research has looked at

Kisspeptin-10 is the ten amino acid kisspeptin fragment. It acts on GnRH neurons at the top of the reproductive hormone axis. The first human work used a longer form, kisspeptin-54, in men. Later work tested Kisspeptin-10 itself and reported it as a potent trigger of luteinizing hormone that raised LH pulse frequency in men. A follow up study looked at men with type 2 diabetes. Kisspeptin-10 is not an approved medicine.
