## What you get in the box

| Item                 | This batch              |
| -------------------- | ----------------------- |
| Compound             | SS-31                   |
| Measured net content | 10.42 mg in a 10mg vial |
| Lot number           | SS31-20260602-09        |
| HPLC purity          | 98.42%                  |
| Identity             | confirmed by LC-MS      |
| Certificate          | COA-2026-9503           |

That is 0.42 mg over the label. Net content times purity gives about 10.26 mg of pure compound per vial.

## Price ladder and the real cost per mg

| Vials | Price per vial | Order total | Saving | Per label mg | Per pure mg |

| 3     | $97.20         | $291.60     | 19% off    | $9.72        | $9.48       |
| 5     | $86.40         | $432        | 28% off    | $8.64        | $8.42       |
| 10    | $72            | $720        | 40% off    | $7.20        | $7.02       |

Per pure mg is the fairest way to compare two sellers. Full detail is on the [SS-31 price per vial page](https://www.peptaralabs.io/ss-31-price-per-vial).

## How to check the certificate in four steps

1. Open the [Peptara Labs COA library](https://www.peptaralabs.io/coa) and find COA-2026-9503.
2. Check the lot reads SS31-20260602-09.
3. Read the purity and identity lines.
4. Compare the net content with the label.

If anything does not match, ask before you open the vial.

## What the research covers

SS-31 is a short, four-part peptide that targets mitochondria. It binds cardiolipin, a fat that holds the energy machinery in place inside the cell's power plants. In stressed mitochondria it helped restore their energy state. Human trials so far sit in rare mitochondrial disease, including the MMPOWER-3 trial and a long open-label study in Barth syndrome.

## Research use status

SS-31 is not an approved medicine for the uses studied in labs. Our vials are sold for laboratory research only. It is not for human consumption, and this page gives no dose or promise of results.

## Buyer questions

**Does the price drop if I buy more than one vial?** Yes. Three vials save 19%, five save 28% and ten save 40%.

**Can I read the certificate before I order?** Yes. COA-2026-9503 is public.

**Why do some SS-31 sellers list a much lower price?** Prices change with vial size and with how much testing a seller pays for. Compare the cost per measured, pure mg, not the sticker price.

**How do I place an order?** Pick a pack size on the [SS-31 product page](https://www.peptaralabs.io/ss-31) and check out.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://peptara-labs.gitbook.io/peptaralabs-docs/ss-31-peptide-for-sale.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
